Non-fiction Article

In the article My Right Ear by Adam A. is about him and his ear which poured liquid which didn’t have a pleasant smell, liquid poured out of his ear because when he was young he had tumor in his right ear. He was afraid of starting school because he was scared that everyone would smell the liquid so he put a cotton ball in his ear all the time. But one day in third grade he forgot to put the cotton ball in his ear and at school everyone started to smell it, and the whole year they made fun of him. At summer vacation  he thought is was going to be his second chance of starting all over again, so he hung out with his brothers friend which he thought of his friends also but he was mistaken. His brothers friends had made fun of him and since then he became anti-social he was too afraid of getting hurt again. But then he became friends with his brother friends again and now they understood what happened to him, and everything else was turning into normal he was making and friends and everything. But then he found out that his tumor grew out, and so he took another surgery and he was fine but he was worried about school, worried people might ask him where he was. But when he got to school his friends didn;t ask they were all just happy he was back. The article showed me what true friends are, it taught me that i shouldn’t judge a person without knowing the whole story. Like don’t judge a book by its cover.
When the author started the article wit “It could kill him, It must be removed” it made me think what is going on? What is going to kill this kid? The authors really got me hooked in the story. The author also made me curious, and also made me feel really scared and when i kept reading on and found out this was a young little boy it made me feel even more upset. The author showed his message by showing his own person experiences, showing what he had to go through with his friends. I feel like the author was bias when he said “jerks” to the people who had bullied him, because he was saying his opinion about the people who had bullied him.
After reading this article it showed me that, true friends don’t care about why you look weird or anything about your physical looks all they care about is that you are safe and sound, and are friends with them. After reading this article I would like to research more about bullying and why people think that bullying is alright to do.
